This lanyard represents more than a fun preseason matchup. The Panthers-Devils 2016 game at the U.S. Military Academy was especially meaningful due to the numerous veterans who work in the Panthers front office. The Florida Panthers military connection extends all the way to the top: team owner Vincent Viola graduated from West Point in 1977 and served with the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell.
