Carter Verhaeghe stunned the crowd in Boston with his series-clinching overtime goal to claim the 2023 Eastern Conference First Round series for the Panthers — and end the historic Bruins season. The Cats earned the OT opportunity when Brandon Montour scored, assisted by captain Aleksander Barkov and Verhaeghe, to tie the game with one minute to play in regulation. “It just feels good to get the win, for sure, in Game 7,” Verhaeghe said. “The way we battled back through the series, even through this game, it’s been a ride.”
