SAVING A STANLEY CUP

Sergei Bobrovsky looks like he’s done this before. The stellar netminder made 32 saves in Game 1 of the 2024 Stanley Cup Final, securing a 3-0 victory and his second shutout of the postseason. After an off day in Game 4, and some team struggles in Games 5 and 6, Bobrovsky bounced back in Game 7. He made 23 saves and allowed just one goal, helping the Panthers rally for the championship victory. “It pretty much cemented it,” said legendary Panthers goalie Roberto Luongo. “That’s the only thing that was missing for him. He’s won Vezinas, the Stanley Cup was the last thing he needed to accomplish. I think he did that. I’m so happy for him.”
