RATS FLASHBACK TO 1996

The 1995-1996 Florida Panthers will always be remembered as the team that introduced the “rat trick” into the hockey lexicon. The 2022-2023 Panthers did one better than their predecessors by winning Game 3 of the 2023 Stanley Cup Final — the first Final win in franchise history. When Carter Verhaeghe’s overtime game-winner found the back of the net, Panthers fans littered the ice at FLA Live Arena (now Amerant Bank Arena) with the most joyous plastic rat shower in team history.
