PUCK FROM FIRST FINAL GOAL, 1996
Date: June 4, 1996
When Tom Fitzgerald shot this puck past Colorado Avalanche goalie Patrick Roy, it marked the first Stanley Cup Final goal in Florida Panthers history. This historic puck was unusual compared of others as it had four embedded sensors that allowed the Fox TV network to track the puck using a glowing effect. Nicknamed “FoxTrax,” the innovation made this a doubly special puck.
