LATE GAME HEROICS

The Panthers netted their first Stanley Cup Final win in franchise history in Game 3 at home against the Vegas Golden Knights, but it wasn’t easy. Matthew Tkachuk scored the equalizer with 2:13 to play in regulation which set up Carter Verhaeghe’s game-winner in overtime. Tkachuk’s heroics nearly didn’t happen as he was briefly knocked out of the game by a Vegas player’s hit. When he returned to the ice, fans cheered and chanted “Chucky! Chucky!”
