The average NHL game uses a dozen pucks, but 40 discs of frozen vulcanized rubber were at the ready to help warm up the Panthers and Devils before Game 2 of the 2012 Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. Did you know that the League freezes pucks to reduce bounce and increase stability as they move across the ice?
