CELEBRATING BOB

After Sergei Bobrovsky played his 500th game on February 10, 2020, the Panthers planned a celebration to honor his becoming just the 75th netminder in NHL history to reach the milestone. The COVID-19 pandemic had other plans, however, and delayed the ceremony for more than a year. On April 3, 2021, the team would finally get to honor Bobrovsky’s milestone with a pre-game ceremony — by that point, the 500-game club had gained another member with Semyon Varlamov, but it was still an exclusive group.
