HUBERDEAU GETS TO THE POINTS
Date: April 3, 2022
Jonathan Huberdeau was riding high on a seven-game points streak ahead of a meeting with the Buffalo Sabres. He extended his streak and netted this puck for his 97th point of the season, a new franchise single-season record. “He’s a tremendous player, and he deserves it the way he’s been playing,” said Aleksander Barkov, who set the old team mark of 96 points in 2018-2019. “It couldn’t happen to a better guy. We still have a lot of games left, so it’s going to be a lot of fun to see where he’s going to end up.” Huberdeau ended the season with 115 points, becoming the first Cat to reach the century mark.
