BOBBING FOR MILESTONES

On February 10, 2020, Sergei Bobrovsky minded the net for the 500th time in his career. The veteran was then just the 75th goaltender in NHL history to reach the 500-game milestone (Semyon Varlamov would become no. 76 a year later.) During that span, Bobrovsky posted an impressive 275-169-42 record and earned the Vezina Trophy in both 2013 and 2017. Panthers head coach Joel Quenneville said of Bobrovsky’s accomplishment, “A big milestone for goalies. He’s got a heck of a career going, and we want to see it continue.”
