MCLEAN’S FIRST NEW MASK IN YEARS

Goaltender Kirk McLean was famously thrifty with his masks. During his entire 10-year tenure with the Vancouver Canucks, McLean used only four different masks. Even during his brief stint with the Carolina Hurricanes, McLean simply taped over the last mask he had been using in Vancouver. But when the veteran arrived in Florida in 1998, he finally got some new gear. After a few games in a plain white mask, McLean debuted this beauty, custom designed by Greg Harrison.
